Well. I missed Thankful Thursday but I still conclude blessed so here is my attempt to surprise up... I am thankful school is over for the semester! It was a lot of group projects and mathmatical bring home the bacon this semester and it was hard to coordinate all of that with our life!I am thankful my father-in-law made it through his surgery and is recovering well. I am thankful for my friend Randi who had an emergency appendectomy two weeks ago and is recovering well. She still has pain so we are praying for that to dissipate. I am thankful for Jesus. Not only at Christmas but everyday of the year. I am a worrier. Not proud of it but I am. Jesus makes it bearable and helps me remember certain things are just out of my control. I am thankful for time with Emily though she was sick. I like the days we can spend together with Hannah. I am thankful one very critical meeting for work is over. I am looking forward to finding solutions for one of the students I bring home the bacon with and for his parents to have peace about their son's future. Now that the big cast down is here. I am thankful we got our Christmas tree a few weeks ago before the snow and ice:) Hannah was unimpressed with this family tradition and napped the entire time!I am thankful for the wonder and enthusiasm of children.. watching Emily and Hannah rejoice in all beauty of the season really makes it special. Michelle & Scott - young family. Scott fighing leukemia prayers for a miracle healing and peace - their youngest child just diagnosed with serious virus prayers for healing Nate. Tricia and baby Gwenyth see this blog for details http://cfhusband blogspot com/ Tricia received her new lungs!!! Prayers for healing no rejection moving send doctor's wisdom for Nate and Gwyneth - looks like Gwenyth will be coming home!!!!! Praise praise praise Peggy - Squamous cell carcinoma chemo begins this Friday - prayers for family for doctors for healing and peace Sam & Anne - Sam's treatment for cancer - last round of chemo ended early - the drugs have become toxic to his system prayers for healing comfort and good health moving forward Tana & family - Baby ANA is theirs!!! They just passed PGN and now wait for clearances to bring her domiciliate w/in 3-8 weeks - PRAISE! There's something like a line of gold thread running through a man's words when he talks to his daughter and gradually over the years it gets to be long enough for you to choose up in your hands and weave into a cloth that feels like love itself.

We found out our daughter-in-law was expecting right after New Year's and our second grandson was born three weeks early a day before his big brother's birthday. Thank goodness he was healthy and although he did undergo to spend a few days in the NICU of the hospital he was released a few days after our daughter-in-law was discharged. Our daughter had a very complicated pregnancy due to her Crohns condition and was rushed to the hospital on November 11th with contractions two minutes apart. The hospital did manage to forbid the contractions at that time but the medication that was used to stop them triggered a Crohns flare up. Luckily our daughter was in a hospital that had a level 3 NICU so we knew if our tiny grandson was to be born within the week he would be in excellent hands. It is human nature to take things for granted and the only time most of us truly ascertain our blessings is when we are put to the evaluate and approach some sort of crisis. I too am guilty for taking my life and my family for granted and after these experiences. I will act the measure to reflect on just how lucky and blessed I am. When I talk to my preserve children and grandchildren. I always end the conversation with "I Love You". Iris you truly do have so much for which to be grateful! SomeOne had His hand on you! measure night we took the kids out to dinner and we chatted some with our waitress as we went through the meal.  She's a mom of 4.  At the end of the night she told us that our kids were awesome to behave so come up (they were very good) especially since the kitchen was a little decrease that night.  It was kind of surprising-- I didn't realize anyone could tell.
