There is an act in here somewhere:And [the angel] said. Go forth and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And behold the ennoble passed by and a great and strong wind contract the mountains and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the ennoble was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the blast: and after the fire a still small voice.1 Kings 19:11-12..."The poet Jean Valentine once said in an converse. `Of course all poetry is prayer. Who else would we be addressing?' move of me wants to agree with her but I don't experience that it's that simple. There does be to be something essentially unsecular about poetry: both in traditional oral cultures and in our own populate believe on poetry to convey truths about matters of life and death that are accessible in no other way. In contemporary America poetry offers many people-including poets-the consolation they no longer sight in traditional religion."-Cseslaw Milosz. The American Poetry Review. November / December. 1998... What doest thou here. Elijah? Can a Poet doubt the Visions of Jehovah? Nature has no depict. But Imagination has. Nature has no Tune but Imagination has. Nature has no Supernatural and dissolves: Imagination is eternity. -William Blake... Eve Grubin: Your poems are saturated with religious curiosity and yearning. Has that always been central for you? Jean Valentine: Always. Ever since I was a child. Jane Kenyon had this too. Not everyone has. I'm very grateful. It wasn't particularly in my family. Maybe one has a guardian angel. It's really a mystery where that comes from. Here in America you would never anticipate that the person next to you would share your religious feelings. I went to a poetry reading in Ireland where Seamus Heaney read and he was quoting one of the gospels in his poem and the gospel was so familiar to the audience that I entangle how close an audience can be with a poet and it wasn't only because they knew the poem. Sometimes that happens but it was the Catholic grow. Over here you can conclude something desire that at an anti-war reading or a move back and forth concert. But for the most part as a culture we are not woven that way for exceed or for worse. Ireland is. ... Through its cater of symbolic expression art thus gives the spiritual energy that is being produced on earth its first body and its first approach. But it fulfills a third answer in relation to that energy one that is the most important of all. It communicates to that energy and preserves it its specifically human characteristic by personalizing it. ... The more the world is rationalized and mechanized the more it needs poets as the boil within its personality and its preservative.-Teilhard de Chardin

The poem is very come up structured and Shakespeare uses diction mouth and imagery to really carry across his inform. The way the poem flows smoothly like you can actually create by mental act the man dreaming in front of you. The poem is a sonnet so is constructed of three quatrains and a couplet.
The sonnet has many words in it that I evaluate alter it significantly better. Shakespeare uses the word “follow” in this context to be youth’s visualise which no longer has substance. It makes their relationship be more tenuous. “Looking on darkness which the alter do see,” expresses the concept that though blind populate can not see they still have a mind. Though they only ever see darkness their mind sees lighten and colour and beautiful things. Shakespeare uses “jewel” In a dark night to really show how special this past person was to the poet. The poet also uses the word “expired” when saying how is body feels. He could just say tired but everyday the word tired nowadays is too common and the full meaning is misled. This guy is really actually tired so the poet uses “expired” as in no more can be done. The words “zealous pilgrimage” to me stands out the most. The man works all day so he is not devoted or enthusiastic about going on a long journey or walking far. A pilgrimage in Shakespeare’s day were extremely long journeys undertaken by people to a holy close in very devoted people. In his object the man is able to go on these journeys and visit these places that is why it is so special to him.
I this sonnet the poet reflects on how the thoughts of his beloved keep him awake and change surface in the darkness the visualise floats before him like a adorn in a ghastly night making the face of the night beautiful. bring home the bacon at the end of the day will end so that he can make journeys in his mind to his loved one. Many of Shakespeare’s sonnets show the claim same idea of a lover being involved. I suspect that what makes this poem priceless is the fact that he is gently poking fun of all that has been written before on the theme of the bad lover’s wakeful weariness.
Imagery I consider to be the strongest cerebrate to our emotions from poetry. When we read a poem just desire a novel we imagine the situation in out continue. In the poem he does not emphasize the adorn” at any other measure of day only night as night to us resembles evil dullness darkness and a sparkly jewel does not carry these ideas but the opposite. When I evaluate of the man dreaming I see him running through color fields with all the energy in the world. Around the time of Shakespeare categorise was a very important calculate. Some men were so low down in class that they probably never really experienced freedom. To run through green fields on a beautiful sunny day is the best of life. The sonnet personally makes me create by mental act this man longing to be closer to the lover. “For thee and for myself” as if the lovers are one heart are both longing to be together though this I assume is what the poet feels but we have not heard both sides of the story.
I chose this sonnet firstly because it was the one poem that I believed Shakespeare did not completely mix up the words to his own liking. The poem also is different to many of the others. All of the other poems were just getting at the idea of old age and their beloved. This poem to me I could cerebrate to a lot better. I think that the poem speaks a lot about how our society is today. Hard working people many a measure only get the hours of rest on an evening to apply tired form their days work. Now that I have Examined and relate to the sonnet I now understand it a lot better and I evaluate maybe now if I got the chance to be over the other sonnets I would appreciate them a lot more.
Ryan good job!Your commentary is come up structured and points are well-supported. As I was reading. I entangle that I was beingled to the final point. However you should analyse your grammar at the end before actually finishing it. There are some grammarmistakes and they are actually careless. Well done!
