FRIENDS and family today paid tribute to a much-loved punk singer who was always the life of the party. Marty Powell known as “Matey” died tragically from a serious asthma attack aged just 50. He was well known as the frontman of local punk rockers No Way who formed in the late 70s but then re-formed recently for a number of gigs. His wife Gill and 19-year-old son Lloyd led the tributes to a family man who made friends everywhere he went. Speaking at the family domiciliate on Debruse Avenue. Yarm.
