"Tupac Impersonator Crashes Trek Film Festival" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-01-01 23:34:09

At the Fine Arts theater in Beverly Hills. George Takei (”Sulu”) and Walter Koenig (”Chekov”) joined their fan enter counterparts (and hundreds of others) for the premiere of “World Enough and Time” the beat feature TREK fan enter ever made downloadable. This is the story of warm and humble STAR journey fans who quietly joined the feature TREK universe with a bang-on homage to the first STAR journey series. Using the original series blueprints. NEW VOYAGES rented lay to create a scale copy of the Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge. James “Kirk” Cawley was a former NEXT GENERATION costumer so he made uniforms. As for a mandate let me quote his website: “Star journey: New Voyages’ producers/crew feel that Kirk. Spock. McCoy and the rest should be treated as ‘classic’ characters like Willy Loman from Death of a Salesman. Gandalf from ennoble of the Rings or change surface Hamlet. Othello or Romeo. Many actors have and can play the roles each offering a different interpretation of said engrave.” Boldly did they go. STAR TREK Fans all over the Internet volunteered what amounted to $1,000,000 of post production expenses. The results are so good the real Sulu and Chekov beamed down to rekindle their roles. It was an opportunity Tupac impersonator Josh Harraway could not pass up. Harraway arrived either before with or after the press no doubt capitalizing on his Vulcan-sounding namesake to secure a seat. A brief Q+A with the filmmakers and actors followed the screening of the film allowed him to ask a self-promotional challenge disguised as a STAR TREK challenge. What follows next is a DRAMATIZATION of what happened:“Are there any more questions about the filmmakers or the franchise? Yes sir? In the back?” “forgive me. I’m… Well. I’m obviously a Tupac Impersonator… My label is Josh Harraway… And I really desire what y’all are doing. When I act Tupac for films parties and other events. I get the same choose of rush that I see you experience in your film and whatnot and that film was beautiful you know really well-done and for the fans… and I know all about that you know doing the same thing basically… but my question is this and it’s more of a statement… When I set up my Tupac Impersonation website at I had to you know get in comprehend with the fan base and whatnot. And when I realized how many fans are out there you experience waiting to meet other fans. I wanted to analyse you.

"Tupac Thursday" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-15 15:39:57

Today is the anniversary of Tupac Shakur's kill in Las Vegas which still remains unsolved. Who knows what might of have become of Shakur had he lived longer. What most folks don't cognise about 'Pac was that he was very cause to be perceived political and reflective. As a child he attended various schools for the arts where he showed a great like of Shakespeare. He was also come up construe and defied the simplistic stereotype attached to him in the press in later years. You can see those contradictions in the Biggie & Tupac documentary and some of the interviews below. RIP

I was going to do a affix on this but you defeat me to the hit. Anyway…growing up in LA there is no way I could not be a Tupac fan. He has such a diverse collection of music and touched on dozens of topics. Tupac was a man of conviction and he never dumbed drink his music or his rhetoric. He wrote music poetry he was a great actor and he was a express for the people. I ordain never forget hearing the news that Tupac died. I was a freshman at Inglewood High…in my 6th period Biology class and someone came running drink the hall yelling out the news. Everyone was so sad to hear about it…and it was a really big broach. Tupac doesn’t get the applaud that he deserves and he comfort gets hated on…but he is the best from the west. RIP Pac. “and he comfort gets hated on”Wow really wasn’t aware of that! To my understandin’. Pac still gets mad like. Mad rappers today got Pac in they gene label. That’s proof enough lol I think the opening lines on “If I Die Tonight” is comfort crazy… “they say p*ssy and paper is poetry power and pistols” arouse… who says cram desire that? The whole alliteration he had goin in that song was very creative. That flew right past me for some reason. They should just let him and Big really rest in peace. They keep releasing “new” albums…it’s ridiculous. I wrote this song a desire time ago a really desire measure ago way before Eminem was change state shady. I’m just joking. My favorite hip hop song of all time is Changes and Brenda got a do by. That Dave Chappelle skit is a classic. The latest Hip Hop and R&B Soul music updates gossip. "What would Tupac say?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-03 14:46:58

So much has been said about Tupac in the 11 years since his death (Sept. 13. 1996) so I decided to let the man speak for himself. He tends to be a lot more compelling than the cultural critics anyway. As you know (or have repeatedly heard from us cultural critics) he was much more than a “rapper.” Here’s footage of a 1992 speech he gave in Atlanta at the invitation of the local arm of the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement. He talks to the assembled crowd about the different challenges faced by black youth of his era versus those from the Civil Rights/Black Panther era. (His mother Afeni Shakur was a longtime Panther and heads up the located in Stone Mountain. Ga.) The highlight of Pac’s speech comes toward the end of the clip when an older person from the audience apparently tells him to check his language and Tupac apologizes before saying. “You can’t be no more offended by my cursing than [by] what’s really going on.” XHTML: You can use these tags: <a href="" title=""> <abbr call=""> <acronym call=""> <b> <blockquote have in mind=""> <label> <em> <i> <touch> <strong> | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Questions? Today in 1996. Tupac Shakur died as the result of a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas six days earlier. Tupac was the son of Afeni Shakur a member of the color Panther Party and was named after Túpac Amaru II an Incan revolutionary who led a Peruvian uprising against the Spanish. The Incan Tupac was sentenced to death for his rebellion but became a symbol of resistance and human rights. Shakur’s own “Thug Life” philosophy reflected a similar struggle of an oppressed yet proud people. To this day the death of our American revolutionary still remains a mystery.
