"Tupac Shakur: 12th Anniversary of His Death" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-09-29 02:21:20

“I don’t know if I’m gonna dress the world but I guarantee I’ll spark the brain that will change the world.” Throughout the last twelve years. I have often been asked: “Where were you when Tupac died?” Now some of you may not care or even want to know but here’s my answer anyway. On September 13. 1996. I was on my way home from classes. My sister and I were sharing an apartment (thinking we were grown) and when I walked through the door she turned around and calmly said. “Hey. Tupac died.” I stopped in my tracks and looked at her and said. “What? That’s not change surface funny.” Rewind: Growing up. I was a quiet honor roll church-going student who never gave my mother much trouble. I did whatever she wanted me to and made the grades she expected of me. Everything was in those days. Then I hit my teens. As a teen I was exposed to the other side of life when I went to high school you know your friends experimenting with smoking drinking and sex. Oh yeah you know the ones. You know on TV when they show the little on each shoulder telling you what you should & shouldn’t do? Well I had the angel the devil… and my care. So while I didn’t smoke consume (with one but I was out of H. S.) or have sex in high school (I know way TMI right?). I did discover hip hop. I was a huge fan of. I mean any and everybody. I couldn’t get enough. At first it was all about party rap. I was rapping right along with and. Then came the socially conscious rap of and. By the time I hit the angry rebellious teenage years. I was just in time for the gangsta rap movement and the lyrics of and. My eyes were opened with P. S. K.. 6 n The Mornin’ and of course F**k Tha Police. I think my mother thought I’d lost my mind blasting that stuff from my room at ear splitting decibels. By the time the 90s rolled around a new rapper caught my attention - his name was Tupac Shakur. He came out with his fists swinging and I was there to suck it all in and were on heavy rotation. Some people ask me why I was hung up on Tupac and I tell them. “Because he was there when I was angry misunderstood and rebelling against authority.” I felt desire all those happy-go-lucky love songs were cool but where else could I turn when I was angry at my teachers or the world and hear it expressed on the radio? I could blast that anger into the atmosphere without doing something stupid and disruptive that would cause repercussions that I wasn’t create from raw material for. Now don’t get me wrong as much as he cussed and ranted on records. I was more drawn to his lyrical While I could relate to the anger in a few of the songs from N. W. A.. I wasn’t in touch with that more violent side they had or the reckless side of say. Ice T. IMO. Tupac had a balance. For every two or three crazy gangsta tracks he balanced himself out with tunes like and. Plus he was silly and had a behind all the bravado. By the time I hit college and truly knew that gangsta rap was indeed a poison to our youth. I also realized that along with that anger and frustration that many teens deal with there needs to be an outlet for them that won’t end up in self-destruction or public mayhem. And while the FBI was running around dissecting Tupac’s lyrics. I was listening to the man as he had just begun to. Tupac was slowly following in the footsteps of his mother his step-father and his godmother - all were former and community activists I think it is all of these things that makes the man so interesting and what keeps him in the headlines some twelve years later. I do believe that Tupac was on the verge of coming full circle. I tend to think had he been able to live long enough he would have moved toward. I also think he would have completely tripped out to see a formal black presidential candidate on the ballots. It’s a shame his life was ended so soon. You can follow any responses to this entry through the feed. You can or from your own site. god bless the dead. where all brothers. i’m down with pac ain’t no man denying him justice now. he’s free to be just a rose now that shit lasts forever. f**k puff daddy…! MY BABY! Yea so I have this huge crush on Tupac. Yes even in “death” I still love that man. He managed to carry something to the table that no one else has been able to do. I remember I was at my cousin’s sleepover when I got the news. We were watching Video Soul (yes I’m that old) and all of a sudden the breaking news came on and they announced he was shot. I cried and cried and cried until I literally passed out. I will adjudge that I am one of the many people who believe that he’s not dead. Too many unexplained events leave me to believe that something else is going on. It’s still hard to believe that it has been 12 years. I think it’s time to go play some Tupac now. [...] found this communicate post by someone through Google and I found it very endearing retrospective and truthful. In it the [...] Tupac fought all his life for equality. Tho they may undergo killed him (F. B. I) i evaluate he’s finally at peace with life. Rest in peace Tupac. I will always love you and your songs. I was 4 wen 2pac died so i had idea where i was wen he died. I started listening to his music last year & i cut in love w it. Before i started listening to his music all what i knew about him was that he was a dead rapper that got shot. After i started listening to his songs i realized why everybody loved him. His music was more than just regular rap music. They always had a good message. No matter what the messages were they’d always move me. Soon it became my favorite type of music & now i listen to his songs everyday. My favorite song from him that i listen to daily is “Starin Through My Rear View.” Even tho he died wen i was 4 & i recently started listening to his music im still shocked to believe that he is dead. Hes still alive to me & i no that hes in a better place. God Bless The Dead. R. I. P. Tupac Shakur (June 16. 1971 - September 13. 1996) This is a truly beautiful post…I was at home in my kitchen cooking dinner when my BFF called me and turned me to turn the TV to BET…she then told me to sit down (she knew how much I loved Pac). When I turned the TV. I was just in shock. This beautiful soldier with the heart of a lion was taken way too soon…R. I. P. Pac… <a href="" title=""> <abbr title=""> <acronym title=""> <b> <blockquote cite=""> <cite> <code> <del datetime=""> <em> <i> <q cite=""> <touch> <strong>

"Who was Tupac Shakur to you?" posted by ~Ray

Tupac Amaru Shakur (June 16. 1971 – September 13. 1996)Its getting change state to 11 years since 2Pac was taken from us and I wanted to create a communicate that was more that just R. I. P but more of what he meant to everyone. Its amazing to see how differently he touched everyone. Me personally. He was someone I admired his passion is what I looked up to the most from his music to his speeches or even his acting rolls and interviews Pac was always himself always a warrior change surface if you didn't agree with him you had to respect his passion for the issue. When he died I was in some ways mad at him for being so stubborn and not squashing some of his beef but over the years Ive accepted the fact that if he did squash his beefs it wouldn't of been him. *Nowadays rappers go into the studio and try and make a "Hit Record" Pac went to the studio to alter MUSIC.* Pac is my role model he was a loner and was just himself.. he didn't let nothing fuck with him in life!!GIVE EM THE FINGA!!!i like that song he was the role model for me i felt every little thing he would rap about the thug life!!I like him and always ordain love him and his music!i remember when i was younger my mom was on some of that b/s back in the day (crack cocaine) i was only 12 and when i would here dear mama.. and you gotta act your head up.. damn it would alter my heart emit i felt like he was talking about me and every other babii thug out there feeling lost i felt secure when i heard him on the communicate, when he passed on to be with our Lord that was the first person i had ever cried for... he is truly a legend and he is never forgotton!!Tupac Amaru Shakur.. this chicana drink here misses you!:) 2pac was tha illest i could realate to alot of his lyrics his poetry was moving and touching he was a solider. 2pac spoke from his heart. 2pac spoke real communicate!! if it wasnt for 2pac i dont think that tha hip hop artists out 2day would be were they are i evaluate if 2pac still were alive he would hold it down better than anyone in tha hip hop indestry i love pac i miss pac i undergo all his cd's all his underground mixtapes all his poetry books and all the movies he was in pac's made a big inpack on my life n im sure alot of other ppl to r i p Tupac Amaru Shakur a k a Makavelii crySometimes when I'm aloneI Cry,Cause I am on my own. The tears I cry are bitter and warm. They move with life but act no formI Cry because my heart is torn. I find it difficult to displace on. If I had an ear to confiding,I would cry among my treasured friend, but who do you know that stops that long,to help another carry on. The world moves fast and it would rather pass by. Then to forbid and see what makes one cry,so painful and sad. And sometimes... I Cry and no one cares about why. ~2pac~ i couldnt agree with any of you even more. Pac was and still is my inspiration process' this day I never felt so much hurt and anger through any music beforeSomething that is very important to me So many rappers now a days move even spit one evince and actuallymean it When i comprehend to every single word in his lyrics i believe IT Because i been through it and he wasn't afraid to show it to the worldHe stood by what he meant Something that i admire deeply he was an inspiration to us all most people didnt even hear of him or only critizised the way he rapped but he used to spit the truth of real life situation's that are happening to people accross the world if tupac wasnt here and didnt rap wed comfort be wondering why most things happenlook at brendas got a do by if schools showed that video to people young girls wouldnt be haveing teen pregnanceysor holla if ya hear me the video was about a lil girl who had to take her own actions populate do not see that it isnt the way he rapped its how he wrote it her father abused her so much she felt that she had to kill him to get away from violance ecttupac wernt a rapper he was a narrator a shineing lighten and a prophet to rap desire the 12 decipefuls who showed that jesus excisted Shit there is only one way to best say this. HE KEPT IT REAL!!!!!! He wasn't afraid to let it be known and he was 1 of the 1st ones to rap about how life really goes down for some of us! He had some pretty hard times but made the very best of it and Iam very glad to undergo heard him rap from "Digital Underground" to the time he rapped "Fr. hold to Da Grave". He really touched alot of us. MAY HE REST IN PEACE AN HIS WORDS AND MUSIC be POR VIDA!WE LOVE AND desire U PAC! To me tupac was/is my hero an amazing artist at everything he did. He helped me get through my storms while he was living and continues to weather my storms even with him gone. Tupac was more than a rapper movie star he was human raw and real so many populate communicate this and that but dont be it but pac was about what he said i never found myself questioning if pac was ment what he said cuz he was passionate about it. Pac helped me cognise my adjust passion and talent in life art and writing. Listening to his songs or readin his poems id get mental pix and id draw it out and want it to be hott desire he was gunna see it or sumthing but i knew he never would and readin his poems and listenin to his lyrics put a fire in me to write as an outlet for myself instead of what i was doin at the measure. So not only was tupac amazing at everythin he did but as corney and what ever he saved me when i hit my rock furnish. HERE I GOTO ME PAC WAS A pass. BELIVER. N CRAZY ASS POETICBUT IN A HIP HOP WAYHE BROUGHT UP THE RAPP GAME ALOT MORE N BROUGHT UP THE WEST COAST RAPPERSALOT OF PPL NOW TRY N BE desire HIM BUT THEY JUS CANTI DONT THINK ANYONE CAN EVER defeat HIMEAZY-E IS GOOD BUT I CANT COMPARE TO HIMEMINEM IS TO ME THE CLOSEST TO HIM CUZ HE HAS GOOD LYRICSTHEY WRITE THINGS N move LIKE NUTHINSO THANX ALOT TUPAC DEAD OR ALIVE I evaluate U HAVE BEEN THE MOST RESPECTED IN THE HISTORY OF HIP HOP/RAPPWHERE WOULD WE BE IN THE RAPP GAME WIT OUT PAC. PPL WOULD HAVE NO IDOL N RAPP WOULDA ALMOST HAVE DROPPED. HES BEEN THE CRAZIEST RAPPERS THAT I EVER HEARD. CRAZIEST LYRICS. PHRASES. AND ALL TRUE WORDS I DONT THINK PACS DEAD HE UP IN JAMACAWEST glide HOMIES Pac was not just a rapper he was a man who envisioned and lived thug life to the fullest. People ask why did he die and the answer is simple: If he didn't hip hop would probably be a thing of the past. His assassination(that's alter I said it) needed to take place for real rappers(not the Swizz Beatz of the bet) to step up their lyricz because Pac is still ahead of the game even after almost 11 years after this tragic assassination. Even though he is missed everyday by the millions and millions of outlawz and thugs we should thank and respect him for what he gave us because if it wasn't for him we could all be wearing cowboy hats and nut hugger jeans listening to people like Kenny Chesney(sends sivers up my spine just thinking about it.) So on Sept. 13 everyone take the time and thank 2-pac and celebrate his life and the influence he put on ours and smoke a blunt undergo a shot or two or ten and rememberthe life and Timesof 2-Pac. We'' Mourn You Till We Join You. Thug Life 4-ever dag this is my kind of question to me pac was more than a good rapper and activist u kno its like he gets more spiritual in my object i'm not sayin he's part of any religion or anything i'm just sayin it feels desire he was sent to earth to get done wat he had to i'm not sure if he's gone or not but even if he is when i listen to his music or construe his poetry it's like i get a connection to him and i can feel him still here u kno i think pac was an angel dag this is my kind of question to me pac was more than a good rapper and activist u kno its desire he gets more spiritual in my mind i'm not sayin he's move of any religion or anything i'm just sayin it feels like he was sent to earth to get done wat he had to i'm not sure if he's gone or not but even if he is when i listen to his music or read his poetry it's desire i get a connection to him and i can feel him still here u kno i think pac was an angel OK FiRST OFF!. i LOV3 TUPAC!.. "All eyes on Tupac Shakur" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-23 16:25:59

It was all eyes on Tupac Shakur when he dropped the twenty-five explosive track album. "All Eyes on Me," filled with pain anger and frustration in 1995. This album was one of the most highly anticipated albums to hit store preserve shelves and is considered to be one of the best albums of all measure in the rap industry. In 1996. Shakur was released from prison after serving three years at San Quentin penitentiary. He was supposed to do a lot more measure but Suge Knight. CEO of Death Row records paid Tupac's free in return for a contract signing to Death Row. Death Row his new home for recording his music was a dynasty in the 90s era. They had a conceive of aggroup of rap Super stars. They had Snoop Doggy Dogg. Dr. Dre. Nate dog. Daz Dillenger and the list goes on. Death Row Records was known most for their gangster rap and gangster beats. They had the image almost of a small mob. Tupac's music and persona changed in a lot of ways as he recorded "All eyes on me." It seems as if he went more gangster due to his surroundings and the instrumentals that were proposed to him. He also seemed very angry and eager to do this project. I could tell he was anxious because he spent valuable time in prison. This album and Mackavali are the only CD's that he composed for Death Row. All eyes on me is a manifold plough fiery album with songs like "Shorty wants to be a thug," "Hit 'em up," and "War stories."All twenty five tracks of this album were composed with in six weeks. Even though there was not much time spent on this album there were a lot of hits that got radio play and are still getting radio play to this day such as Gangster party. California love and Ambitions of a Rider. All eyes on me is the most known album compared to all seven of his other albums. This CD was his No.1 selling CD and it is still being purchased. That's pretty amazing considering the fact that Me Against the World in 1995 was the highest album on the charts and was the top CD above all categories of music all over the world. This CD is perfect for rap listeners it has so many songs that are catchy and appealing as Mr. Shakur takes you on a roller coaster of personal thoughts and views. This CD is always playing full blast in my car. I got a banging system and it sounds good not only to my ears but to everybody's ears. I know this is a good CD because as I go by pedestrians they start bobbing their head back and forth. Waving to me signaling that they desire what they are hearing. I' m always listening to schedule 2 and when I want to change by reversal it up I just go away bumping trunk tight book one. My favorite song of this album is "Rather be ya."If you don't have "All Eyes on Me," I declare that you go and get it. Its one of the greatest Tupac albums ever recorded. 1 warren g was never signed to death row but to geffen records.2 me against the world was released in 1995 not 1994 I'm a big 2pac fan but how about you write about something current and relevant. What's next a review of The Beatles come on! This analyse is pretty much on inform with the exception of a few songs like "hit 'em up" that wasn't featured on the album. Pac changed the whole bet with this album. He would still be alive if he wasn't ignorant. He should've never signed with Death Row records because Suge ennoble is a criminal and a ignorant ghetto dude. 2Pac should've never been dissing a lot of rappers too. Most rappers don't use their hit and that's why the ones that died young are dead. Eazy E is a good example of a person who should've used his brain instead of thinking with his d*ck when it comes to women. He should've known to use condoms when having sex with a bunch of women and he didn't do that. That's why he died of aids. 2Pac and The Notorious Big's deaths are so stupid because both of them died over nothing. 2Pac was beefing with Biggie because he felt that Biggie had him robbed and shot in New York in 1995 when he was going to the studio. Biggie said he had nothing to do with that. That's how the 2Pac and Biggie beef started. 2Pac also blamed Puff Daddy for getting shot that same night. furnish lie is that 2Pac was a good rapper but he was very ignorant most of the time and that's a shame because his music is sadly missed by his fans. Bottom line is that 2Pac was a good rapper but he was very ignorant most of the measure and that's a compel because his music is sadly missed by his fans. Why do you baffle a tribute go this way? That is so wrong. And so ignorant. Tupac whatever choices he made in life doesn't give someone the alter to kill him. He was not out trying to blackball someone he was not hurting anyone that evening he was minding his own business. If someone had a resent against the guy handle it man to man. Doing it with a gun is so gutless and cowardly. When we went to Vegas measure year. I couldn't help but think of Tupac as we went to where the shooting took place. It is so work with people crowds are on the streets how could NO ONE have any information to give to the police? I desire 2Pac too. He would still be alive if he wasn't ignorant. Well I agree with the fact that they both died for no reason. But pac was just being honest you can't really call him ignorant for that. Pac had a ligitimate cerebrate for beefin with biggie. I don't think Biggie did it. Biggie has stated on several accounts that he was never really mad a Pac. Big never really made a diss song against pac. Anyways I think one of the reasons pac died was he really did not have anyone to tell him to you know comfort down. He really had no one to point him in the right direction. I miss 2Pac too. He would comfort be alive if he wasn't ignorant. He should've never signed with.
